Browser Settings

The Online Parcel Information System is accessible from browsers on multiple platforms: Microsoft Internet Explorer on the PC and Netscape on UNIX, Macintosh and PC. The Property Information System was developed using HTML and the JavaScript 1.2 development environment, so you need either Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.01 browser (or higher) or Netscape 4.05 browser (or higher). Netscape users can upgrade Netscape by visiting the Netscape Web site at http://www.netscape.com/. Internet Explorer users can upgrade Internet Explorer by visiting the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/.

NOTE:
- Since the Online Parcel Information System uses HTML frames and JavaScipt to dynamically generate maps and parcel data, the browser should support frames and JavaScript.
- In order to prevent your browser from displaying previously cached or stored pages the browser should also be set to compare cached documents with new ones on every visit.
- Since the generation of tax maps are resource intensive on the server, certain functions can take approximately 10 - 15 seconds. Please be patient.
- A display resolution of 800 X 600 (or higher) is recommended for best results. On the desktop, right-click and choose Properties. Click on the Settings tab and adjust the Screen Area to 800 x 600 pixels.
